He has published articles in Currents in Biblical Research and Catholic Biblical Quarterly, and his dissertation, A Text-Linguistic Investigation into the Discourse Structure of James, has been published by T&T Clark. He was formerly pastor of First Baptist Church of Osceola, Arkansas. The point of this blog is to offer scholarly understanding of the Letter of James. As previously mentioned in this blog in the Part 3 Reading, Mark Edward Taylor 3 summarizes to date the majority of the points of view presented by scholars on the Letter of James. This writer’s suggestion is to review those. In order to appreciate today’s Part 5 Reading, one must have read the Part 4. He earned his MDiv from Mid-American Baptist Theological Seminary and his PhD from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
